Mould Turning Systems (MTS)

The V56 and V60 Mould Turning Systems combine powerful hydraulic hinges and jacks to enable wind blade manufacturers to safely open and close blade moulds, with halves weighing up to 80 000 kg and beyond. The Mould Turning System eliminates the need for cranes in mould turning operations thereby improving worker safety, increasing throughput and lowering production costs.

Since its first model at the beginning of the millenium, the Mould Turning System has undergone continuous improvement in order to meet the emerging challenges of the wind energy sector. More recently, PH Windsolutions has developed a micro-controller based control system, which features a graphical user interface and allows for extensive customization of its automation. This recent advance has made it possible to seamlessly integrate our in-house developed products such as the Mould Alignment and Clamping (MAC) and Shear Web Alignment and Clamping (SWAC) systems.
